1. Open the source PDF
In Your templates, upload an unsigned PDF or open a saved document. Choose Rebuild as template. Your source remains saved separately.
2. Read and review the text
Selectable text and saved edited fields can be read locally. For a scanned page, choose Read text from scan. Read the external recognition notice and approve sending that page before scanning starts. Add other pages one at a time, and correct every name and amount. You can also add text manually.
3. Choose a clean layout
Pick the document type and a Studio, Classic or Minimal layout. Select the text to include, edit its labels, arrange the blocks and preview the first page. The new document uses its own fonts and spacing. Tables become editable text; copied amounts are not recalculated. Logos can be added in the new editor.
4. Save and reuse
Create reusable template opens the new document with editable fields. Use Save edited PDF to download an editable PDF or a final copy, or save it to your connected Google Drive. Your templates and history let you reuse the layout for another client.
Approximate editing on the source page
Open Approximate editing to cover and retype text on the original scan. The closest available font can be estimated, but exact typefaces, spacing and backgrounds are not guaranteed. Review exports carefully. For precise changes that retain the original design, use the original Word, Excel or design file together with its fonts.
Text extraction and logo replacement
Extract text from scan provides a transcript and text download without changing the PDF. Find images shows numbered regions and thumbnails; choose the actual image to replace, then adjust its cover, position and size. You can mark an area manually when detection misses it.
What is sent and saved
Only the selected page image is sent after explicit consent. The external recognition service may retain it under its policies. Closing the dialog stops waiting but cannot cancel a request already submitted. The source PDF stays unchanged, and created templates remain in your local workspace or private connected Drive.
Limits
Review recognition errors and reading order. Template rebuilding creates a new layout; it does not reproduce the original design, verify calculations, provide electronic signatures or perform secure redaction. Some recognized characters may be unsupported by the export font; the editor will ask you to change them before rebuilding.
